Sedona and on to New Mexico

Leaving the Grand Canyon, I traveled to Oak Creek Canyon in Sedona and took it easy for a week.  The weather was good, warm in the afternoon but cool at night.  I made a fire every night and enjoyed the evening.  I didn’t find any vortexes but enjoyed Mexican food.  Aren’t both good for your spirit?

I met 2 woman at the Airport Mesa who where looking for a vortex.  I looked at the view!

The campsite was in the trees and very nice. The tree gave me peace!P1020076

Pine Flat Campground site 33.

Javelina Cantina was a wonderful lunch with a Margarita of course!  Good for Well Being!

Next stop in Gallup, New Mexico at the Red Rock Campground.

It was a nice almost empty campground with a post office right there.  $20. for a site with electric and water.  Hiking trails but it was too hot to hike!

On to Santa Fe.  I had this nice spot A, right by the office with my own swing.  I had stayed here in October with Bob and Bev.  This time I found the swimming pool and no rain. Ghost Ranch in Abiquiu the next day.

I have a lot to tell about all I did and saw at Ghost Ranch! My next post!

GRAND CANYON: Drawing on the Edge

One of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World.  It is one of the deepest gorges on Earth with an average depth of one mile and an average width of ten miles.  This is why it is so crowded with tourists of the world.  My trip to the Grand Canyon was wonderful.  It is an amazing place.  Filled with overwhelming landscape.  I was able on this trip to find places that weren’t filled with tourists.  Yipee! It was fun!P1020084I took a drawing class, “Drawing on the Edge”  We sat for hours studying and drawing the Canyon.P1020086P1020089A Raven watched while I was drawing.  It was either looking at my drawing or waiting for a crumb from my snack.  I looked for a shady spot first and then found my drawing inspirationP1020094I arrived at the campsite which the man at check-in told me was lucky.  All Asians had asked for this site 88.  I was greeted by 3 female elks.  It was very nice.

P1010922I took way too many pictures as usual.  I’m only including a few here.  My friends joined me.  Linda took the class with me.

I don’t know those people in back of me.  I wondered why more tourists didn’t fall over the edge?

Canyon toward the West.

Baby Bambi Elk and Mom walked through our campsite.
